Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Gib came down this year spent the night at our house on the 23rd, the kids loved it and loved spending the time with him. When Tyler took him back to my Dad's Luke asked if Gib could spend the night 14 more time. What a great Uncle he is!On Christmas Eve we went over to Ty's parents to do one of their traditions of opening pajamas from Grandma. After that we went to Terra's house to spend the night with the WHOLE Smiley family. We had a great time playing games until late and just enjoying each others company. In the morning we did some of our family traditions of singing carols until Dad said, " Ho Ho Ho" to give us the go ahead to open the presents. I loved watching the kids reactions to the gifts they got, worth every penny we spent. We then had a delicious breakfast including our yummy breakfast rolls. Shortly after that we headed home to take well needed naps before heading back over to Ty's parents for the evening. It is so nice to have both family so close so that we can see them both every holiday. It can be hard to figure out the schedule but worth it. We all had a great time.

Christmas outfits

I loved it when I was a kid and I love it now being able to dress them in their cute Christmas outfits.

Hide and seek

The moment that I even thought of putting up Christmas decorations I also realized that I would have to be constantly telling the kids and the cat to stop playing with them. Sure enough when they were up they became toys. after awhile the kids have stopped but not the cat. He likes to climb the tree. In many ways having a kitten is similar to having a puppy. I have not been able to get a picture of the cat in the tree cause he jumps out as soon as he see that I see him. Where we have the tree is up against the wall and the sofa, Brooklyn has found a great hiding place, she crawls into a small opening to a perfect size place next to the tree. It's sort of hard to explain. One time when I told her it was time for her nap she when there and it took me a while to find her.

Temple square

The family and I went to Temple Square to look at the beautiful lights. We parked a few blocks away so that we could ride the UTA train with the kids. They loved it! The lights were so beautiful, I thought as we were there how lucky we are that we live close enough to it that we could come every year to see them and feel the spirit as we watched the nativity show.

update

I apologize for not being better at updating this, but here is a quick recap of our life. Luke had a birthday he turned 5! The poor guys ended up getting a high fever that day so we had to cancel his birthday party. Our thanksgiving was really good, we had a smiley dinner the weekend before Thanksgiving filled with yummy food, good company and fun games. Then on Thanksgiving we went to Ty's parents and had a very relaxing day there. I am finally starting to get over the morning/all day sickness and am enjoying being pregnant. I'm about 17 weeks. It has been fun being pregnant with Terra and chances are the timing will not be the same again. I had a birthday on Wednesday it was so good. I surprised me twice that day, once with breakfast in bed(when I thought he had left to work) and then again at lunch when I went out with his sisters he surprised me with being there and that he had the rest of the day off. The kids kept all there wining and complaining til the next day to make my birthday very stress free.

I got a sewing machine from my father-in-law's mother and am so excited to get started on some projects, my first one is a diaper bag that I actually like. (I'm very picky)
