dinner....

For everyone to get just how funny this story is I have to start from the beginning. Back when I was younger my mom took me into an outhouse to go to the bathroom. I was so grossed out I ended up puking. To this day I still try not to use them and when I do they always make he gag. So my whole life I've had a bag gag reflex( its getting better since becoming a mom). Now here come Brooklyn who I have found out has the same problem with her gag reflex. She sees a baby puke, gags. A dirty diaper, gags. Anything remotely gross, gags sometimes even throws up her self.

So tonight we are out to dinner at Chili's, Lyla who is sitting in a highchair starts coughing and because of her cough and mucus she has in her throat she throws up a little. Brooklyn who can't turn away starts gagging. Ty tells her to stop watching but she can't. She then pukes. I now can't stop laughing because of the whole situation. Luckily it wasn't too big of a mess.

update

Watch out! Being of mom of 3 just became a little more busy! Lyla has started crawling. I remember with Luke I couldn't wait for him to start crawling now with my third I was in no way encouraging it. This milestone still did come, and of course she is so cute doing it. I can't believe how fast they grow up.

Christmas outfits!

I love buying Christmas outfits every year for my kids. This is something I got every year when I was younger and I loved it. So here are some pictures of them, enjoy.

First big snow...

We finally got a good amount of snow a few weeks ago. The kids had a blast playing in it. Luke was out there for almost 3 hours playing with the dog and building a snowman all by him self. Brooklyn wasn't out there as long and she really enjoyed eating the snow (we did warn her about the yellow snow). Love the winters here!

6 months!

Lyla just had her 6 month check up, the time goes by so fast. We are still trying to figure her out but we do love her and so glad she is in our family. She just stared sitting up by herself which I love, I love it when you can sit them on the floor with toys and they can entertain themselves. She is still trying to get use to baby food (she is not a fan) but the Dr. said to try her with more table foods now instead of the baby food. I don't have big babies but when she was born my heaviest child (7lbs 5 oz) I thought she would be my big baby but she has turned out to be a true Hansen/Smiley and is small for her age.

Weight 13.7 lbs 7% for her weight
Height 25 in 30% for her height

Proud Mama!

I am going to brag in this post. Luke's first term ended, so we got report cards and SEP meetings (parent/teacher conferences). I'm so proud of my little man, he got all 3's on his report card which is like getting all A's. Yesterday we went to his SEP meeting and his teacher had nothing but good things to say about him. The test he did at the end of the term he got 37 out of 40 correct! She said he is such a hard worker and is so kind to everyone, she never has to remind him to be kind.
Being a parent can be hard at times and I always wonder if I'm doing a good job or not, it's always good to hear that I'm doing something right.
