Announcing the Leishmans....

I am so excited! Thursday my little sister Katelyn got engaged!! His name is Cody and he is a great guy. They met through a mutual friend and have been together for about 9 months or so. I think that the date is set for August 15. Location is undetermined either Medford or Oakland area ( I don't remember the city he is from). I am so proud of her and the choices she has made in her life.

We a had great day filled with Jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler, Popsicle, and of course baking! Yesterday with the 90+ degree weather we had the kids and I went down to Terra's house, The kids of course spent most of the day in swimming suits playing outside.







Terra has a house a cross the street that is for sale and we saw someone there so we went over there to see if we could walk through. When we were in the back yard we saw there was a HUGE rhubarb plant. So we waited until the realtor left and we carefully sneaked back and picked us some Rhubarb! We then made a yummy Strawberry rhubarb crisp. I'm so glad the warm weather is coming!

Play date for Ty.

Ever since Larry H. Miller built a road race track out in Tooele he has wanted to go out there and race his car on it. He never had a chance to go cause it was just finished around the time we moved out of Utah. On Wednesdays Miller motor sports park has special events that are open to the public for a smaller price, but this last Wednesday they were charging $20 so he had to do it and was able to get in 5 runs. I'm so glad that he was able to go out there and really enjoy himself doing something he is really passionate about, his cars. Here are some cool pictures of him out there.

Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, I know I did. Tyler made buttermilk pancakes for us all and they were delicious! I was able to have a fun relaxing day. after church we went to Ty's sisters house Leslie and had dinner. Luke in Primary made me a cute kitchen hand towel that had his hand prints on it with a cute poem attached.

Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small

And always have my fingerprints on furniture and walls.

But everyday I'm growing, I'll be grown up someday,

And all these tiny fingerprints will surely fade away.

I have the best family I could ever ask for. The gal who taught in R.S. said she loved Mother's Day because it's like a birthday but with out getting older. I thought that was great. Happy Mother's day to all the mothers out there.

1st Birthday

Well I would of done this on her Birthday but I didn't have my computer so I'm doing it today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Brooklyn!!

We had a great day, we did our family tradition of sweet rolls in the morning with presents and then had one of her favorite dinners, Meatloaf. One of my my favorite traditions growing up was hearing our birth story so that is one that we have now started in our family. Here are a few cute pictures of her day.

Sleepover

A fun memory I have from my child hood is traveling to my cousins house and spending the night with them. You stay up late, there is non-stop playing from the moment you wake up to the time you go to bed. With living so close to family my kids don't get to experience this. So when a great opportunity came we just had to do it.

Tuesday we went down to Terra's house because Katelyn was also coming to salt lake for the day. The kids played and we had some great sister time. Katey did my nails (which look so good, thanks again) and we had tons of girl talk. My dad came by for Lunch which was a wonderful bonus. Luke even asked on our way there if Grandpa Smiley was going to be there and then continued to tell me how awesome and handsome his Grandpa was.

Terra and I were able to have a girls night, good chick flick with cookies and milk. With more playing on Wednesday we all had so much fun, we will definitely have to do it again.

On a side note I needed to something different with my hair so about 2 weeks ago I cut bangs, it took a while getting use to but I love them now.
